Photobiomodulation (PBM) Therapy uses light to help heal tissues, reduce inflammation, and relieve pain. It works with red, blue, and infrared light using laser or LED technology.

At CELLRETURN, our dedicated team constantly investigates the best, most effective and safest use use of PBM and various types of light. We’ve found that using a mix of Red, Blue, and Near Infrared light works best for facial treatments.

This includes the tried, tested, researched and proven antibacterial blue light to fight against p.acnes in blue mode, a combination of red and blue light on the pink mode for sensitive skin because of its calming effects, as well as controlling rosacea, eczema and psoriasis, and of course the very powerful and potent red mode combining red and near infrared for anti-ageing, hydration, pigmentation, collagen formation and wound healing.

The combination in the red mode is also proven to help with pain, inflammation as well as neuron regeneration (in research) and has been shown to be effective in headaches and migraines. The red mode also stimulates melatonin, which helps us to sleep better.

How Does it Work ?

When you use the device, it generates light with specific wavelengths via LEDs, which is absorbed by the targeted cells for a specific reason.

This light activates the mitochondria in the cells, leading to increased energy production (ATP), regulation of reactive oxygen groups, and activation of transcription factors or cell membranes through light-sensitive ion channels.

As a result, cell growth and movement are boosted, inflammation is regulated and decreased, and tissue oxygenation is improved. This, along with better blood flow, causes changes at the cellular level that accelerate wound healing, cell and tissue repair, regeneration, rejuvenation, and pain relief pain relief through the modulation of PGE-2 and COX-2.
